Last Night in Egypt

Strange the sight that fateful night
so long ago in Goshen
A father's faith will save his son
God's judgment set in motion
blood applied to top and side
to lintel and to door post
"hurry children come inside,
obedience is foremost
Stay within and here abide
and trust by faith God's Promise
safety will the Lord provide
His word alone will calm us
and as a new life we begin
