Dry the hope of  politics
the whims or will of men
careful what the sinner picks
or what men can’t or can

The mob will still Barabbas choose
and despise the Cornerstone
reject the Christ, His name abuse
and follow plans their own.

The blind will fight to lead the blind
and fall into the ditch
since the beginning, a war we find
over who is poor or rich.

Crosses still and crowns of thorn
for all that follow Him
