Roots

Seemed Evil won in the garden
when mankind was snake bitten
sin’s poison caused man’s heart to harden
and a sad history of man was written
and evil more rose like a flood
until Noah’s world was flooded
judgement fell with such a thud
‘till an olive branch had budded
Then  man would try to build again
the world they once had broken
but woe to those who trust in men
and don’t believe what God has spoken.
Then God would find one soul in Ur
asking those in err to leave
something wonderful there did occur
Abram said, “Yes LORD, I believe.”
and from that seed God made a Race
that found God’s righteousness imputed
a gift was given which God calls Grace
As Faith stands in God’s word so rooted.- id.
